Last weekend, i got my hands on a laptop from the stoneage, but it was design for Windows XP ^^ Anyways, my buddy's laptop got invaded by some nasty enemies, they removed almost every funktion that was essencial to manage around the computer. SO... format is the answer you are looking for.
I also tried Ubuntu on it... after 30min-45min of trying, it wasn't much use.
I have no problem formatting(correct word?) computers that still are made in this side of the year 2000, but computers that is from the other side... like 1998 or something... then it gets hard to find drivers to the computer. Finding old drivers, is a pain, looking a day for one lousy driver... if you find it atleast. I see now why they love a backup disc with drivers on it. Makes it so much easier.
